Scalp Micropigmentation

The shaved look,
perfected.

SMP replicates the appearance of real follicles — thousands of micro-impressions matched to your skin tone and native hair pattern. Done well, it's undetectable at conversation distance. Done here, it's guaranteed in writing.

Craft, not printing

Why our SMP survives close-up photos.

Cheap SMP fails in three predictable ways: flat single-tone colour, impressions too large, and hairlines drawn like a helmet. Our process is built specifically against those three failures.

  • Three tones per scalp. Real stubble isn't one colour. We blend a base, a shadow and a highlight tone so the result reads as texture.
  • Impression-size discipline. Needle depth and dwell time controlled so each dot stays follicle-sized as it heals — no blur, no merge.
  • Broken, human hairlines. Natural edges are irregular. We design micro-irregularity into every front line — the single biggest realism factor.
  • Carbon-based pigments. They fade softly to lighter grey over years. They cannot turn blue or green — chemically.

The process

Three sessions.
Zero surprises.

Each session layers on the last. The conservative build is deliberate — pigment can always be added, never easily removed. Full detail on the results timeline.

Session 01

Foundation

Hairline frame agreed from your mock-up, base density placed across all zones. Intentionally light — about 60% of the final look.

Density & tone

New impressions between healed session-one work; tone deepened toward your final shade. This is where it starts looking real.

Detail

Edge softening, texture breaks, density corrections under studio lighting. Most scalps finish here; complex cases book a fourth pass free within the touch-up window.

SMP questions

Specific to this treatment.

For full-scalp SMP, a guard 0.5–2 clipper length keeps the blend perfect — most clients settle into a routine of clipping every 2–4 days. If you're not ready for that commitment, density enhancement under longer hair may fit you better, and we'll say so.

Redness for 24–48 hours, then tiny dry flakes for 4–7 days as micro-scabs shed — from a metre away it just looks like a fresh buzz cut. Most clients are back at work the next day. Full aftercare protocol is on the aftercare page.

Adjusted, yes — hairline shape and density can be refined at any refresh. Removal is possible with laser (SMP pigment responds faster than tattoo ink) but it's a process; this is why we mock up first, patch test, and build conservatively. Decisions this visible deserve that caution.

Usually one rushed session, one flat tone, body-ink pigments, and no touch-up commitment — the exact recipe for the blue helmet look that ends up on forums. Our packages cost more because they price a finished, guaranteed result: all sessions, certified pigments, 12-month window.
